Term Definition
Table a set of facts or figures systematically displayed, especially in columns.
Row a number of people or things in a more or less straight line.
Column a vertical division of a page or text.
Cell the smallest structural and functional unit of an organism
Grid lines are the light gray lines that divide each of the cells, rows, and columns in a spreadsheet.
Header Row the column header is the colored row of letters used to identify each column within the sheet, or workbook
Split Cells The Split Cells feature allows you to split cells into two or more cells.
Merge Cells Merging cells is often used when a title is to be centered over a particular section of a spreadsheet
Table Formula You can refer to a table row, column, or cell in a formula by using the RnCn reference convention
Table styles A table style is a collection of table formatting attributes, such as table borders and row and column strokes, that can be applied in a single step
Templates The term template, BEA when used in the context of word processing software, refers to a sample document that has already some details in place; those can be adapted
Data Source Datasource is a name given to the connection set up to a database from a server.
Main Document the document that contains the text and graphics that are the same for each version of the merged document, for example, the return address or salutation in a form letter.
Field a particular branch of study or sphere of activity or interest.
Record Records are composed of fields, each of which contains one item of information. A set of records constitutes a file
